The LSD show
at the H.O.B. was a blast! The guys had the place rockin.
Critical Mass,
Reprisal, SYCK, Genocide, and Mr Hyde are gonna be in here
in the next
month or so to do some stuff. Desert Eagle has some producers
interested
in the demo we did here and who knows, maybe something will
come of it.
Took the big PA to the afterdeck last friday and aired it out, got all
the bugs worked
out and it's ready for the fall music season. El Combo Grande
has been doing
the Betty's thing and everyone is excited about the health fair
coming up
the 16th and 17th at the county complex. Got the new CD burner
coming this
week, it should save some time on duplication. 4x just don't get
it
anymore.
Putting together a Houndsounds compilation CD soon, it will be a
full length
cd featuring all the bands that have done projects here. Look for
it around
christmas. The False Sight CD has been given the green light and
will be going
to the duplicators as soon as I get the 2x copy to them. Look for
it.

Had to move
it from Tripod's server due to the traffic. It works real good
now, no time-outs.
Get down to the House of Blues Myrtle Beach to
see Long Strange
Daze and Critical Mass the 29th of August. It promises
to be a great
show. Chip from Transistor 7 came up the other day and
we finally
got the Stunted 7 CD wrapped up.

What happens when you get 6 deviant
minds and lock them in the studio all

Winstons and the Plank Road?
False
Sight! Nick, Hubert, Russell, Martin and Adam all came on down from
Agusta Ga. with some great stuff
and busted a move on their 9 song debut.
3 solid days of fun and recording.
I now know what a dilda is, and I have
a custom fashioned one here if'n
you want to see it. Thanks y'all, I'll cherish it!

I have been very busy with all kinds
of stuff, so I apologize for not getting
this updated. Here's what's
up. We did the battle of the bands at West
Brunswick high school last week,
Hats off to Long Strange Daze for taking
first in the pro division, and to
SYCK in the amatuer division. It was a good day.

Cowgirl. These bands are keeping me hopping
as of late. Syck is coming

at the Rawbar the 15th with Transistor 7 and the
Sandbar the 31st with Mr Hyde.
You can't see them from the couch.

get right to it. Long Strange
Daze is in pre-production on their new
CD tentativly
called "somebody better call my momma". The project will be
8-10 all new
songs with their new guitarist Matt McDonald. We should be rolling
tape between
all of their upcoming shows in Wilmington and Charleston. Check
out their
page for the when and where. Conflict of interest has changed
their
name to SYCK
and are currently working with their new singer. Check out
"Lies"

I am a slacker,
sorry 'bout that. Have been busy with all sorts of
stuff.
The Baby, and workin, and the studio, and live sound. Haven't had
the time to
update this thing. Well, here goes something........
The T7 / Stunt
Doubles thing is in the bag (almost) still have a little
mixin' to
do and it will be ready. LSD has been playing in Florence and
Colombia,
they are trying to make time to finish up their EP. Look for it in
the next
Month or so.
Their Statue Records release should be out about the same time.
Have put all
kinds of stuff up on MP3.com. Go
to local music-USA-NC-Wilmington-
Holden Beach
to hear some of the stuff we have done. There is some ECG, LSD,
T7, Slydaltr,
and The Rileys up there for everyone to enjoy. The Rileys new stuff
is as
good as done and will be out soon. Have made many improvements
to the
studio lately,
the 2408 is up and working fine, all of the machines are locked up
and happy,
and I can see the light for the first time in a while. Technology
is a
great thing
once you learn how to make all of the right connections.

Well, here we are after the deluge.
The waters are receding and life is slowly
returning to normal. Got some great
pics of the waters and will post them
as soon as I can get them developed.
I got the studio put back together
the other day and we are ready for
bizness. Conflict of Interest came in
and did a four song demo. These
guys are from Calabash NC and are
good and heavy. Listen for them
on 93.5 on their regions of rock show.
Production is in progress on the
Transistor 7 and Stunt Doubles collaboration
CD, it should be done here shortly.

O boy have I been busy, did Slydaltr
at Swells the 5th and they
rocked the house. The CD is done
and we should be getting the copies
back this week. The Rileys
have two songs in the bag, with two more to follow.
They are gonna add the four songs
to the ones they did on thier EP and release it as
a full length CD. Keep your
eyes out for the release on the new HOUNDSOUNDS
Label. That's right I have
started my own label and am working on distribution
as we speak. Long Strange
Daze is in rehearsal for their new EP to hold
everyone over until their Statue
Records release. It will feature a bunch of songs
that weren't on the Statue release.
Transistor 7 and the Stunt Doubles are
coming in the 21st to do tracking
for an EP that they will release themselves
this fall. Looking forward
to working with Candy, Victor and Chip again. They will
be at Rockit's Sept 3 with yours
truly running sound. Come on out!
El Combo Grande will be at Captain
Juels in Little River on sunday the 22nd
doing a sort of unplugged thing
(gotta keep the volume down) with acoustics
and congas. That should be
fun.

The CBA show was a blast!
Mr Hyde kicked out an excellent set
of power fusion that was best described
as "out of this world"
El Combo Grande followed up with
some funky rock and roll that had
everyone on their feet. We
were treated to a killer set by Lewis and
his guys from Myrtle Beach (Undertow)
they did real well.
Then Spooky Groove took the stage
and everyone was a rockin.
The t-shirt contest was one that
we all will remember for a while (at least until
next year) The CBA did well
off of the concessions and due to the heat, beer
sales were brisk. You should
have been there if you weren't. Congrats to El Combo
Grande for placing 3rd in the Cape
Fear Blues festival. Everyone had a
blast listening to some live blues
and funky rock and roll.
7/10
Got a few things to talk about,
Mr Hyde and Transistor 7 will be at
otters (formerly the skylight) in
Wilmington the 17th, El Combo Grande

El Combo Grande and Spooky Groove
will be at the CBA party the 24th.
A Big "Blow it out your ass" to
the manager of charlie's in Little River for
being a dickhead at the Spooky Groove

break before showing your ass?)
The Rileys are recording the rest of their
CD this month at HOUNDSOUNDS, look
for the finished Disc this fall.
Slydaltr is finished with their
CD and it is in final production. Go see
them at SWELL'S August 5th from
